Kim Reynick is a certified domestic and exotic animal trainer as well as an animal behaviorist. She is a graduate of the Exotic Animal Training and Management program at America's Teaching Zoo where she earned degrees in the areas of: animal behavior, animal training, and wildlife education. In addition to these degrees, Kim holds a B.A. in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. While Kim has been passionate about animals her entire life and always knew she wanted a career involving animals, it was during her studies at UCSD that she became interested in animal communication. This led her to seek out numerous volunteer opportunities, including spending seven years with the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA where she played a significant role in the rescue, rehabilitation and release process of several species of marine mammals. After earning her bachelor's degree and spending time volunteering at various animal shelters and organizations, Kim went on to enter the Exotic Animal Training and Management program where she spent two years training and studying the behavior of different animal species. Here, she had the opportunity to travel around to various animal facilities including the San Diego Zoo, Dolphin Quest Hawaii and the Monterey Bay Aquarium to learn about different styles of training. After graduating from the Exotic Animal Training and Management program, Kim started her own business in wildlife education in the State of Colorado. She rescued animals and brought them to schools where she performed live animal shows that taught children about conservation and the environment. Kim returned to the Bay Area in 2005 and has been training dogs for private clients ever since. She specializes in puppy training, leash manners, fear/aggression, socialization and basic obedience.
